yaaay harvest.
Aug. 8th, 2003 06:52 pmI have wheat and oats and other lovely things on one of my altars for tonight. :) It's astrologically Lughnassadh. :) Blessed Sabbat, y'all. Gonna open some red wine and do a little ritual and pout just the tiniest bit about not being at Andrew's ritual. :p Missing it is making me a bit gnarry, but I'll live.
Wearing my .99 green t-shirt from Value Village today. I loooooove it. Comfy comfy.
I keep having these dreams where I'm confronted by two people who are black and white, in reverse of one another. They seem very polarized...and keep asking me to choose. That, and I have had White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane stuck in my head since I woke up. It was in my dream, I think. Strangeness.
There is much beauty in a field of ripe wheat, the chirr of thousands of crickets, the hills all green and dusty gold at first harvest. I'm reflective about it today. It makes me miss home, sometimes...but then this is home now, and I look forward to autumn here always.
I have the memory of the scent of a crisp green apple lingering somewhere. Mm. Soon.
