The crow shed season has started...found a nice flight feather today while walking Jeff's nephews back to his new place from here at home. People who crave crow feathers, take note.
Today was windy, overcast, tumbly clouded, and cool. I love days like this. Perfect for walking.
I had Jeff's nephews over here, and we went to the park, too, since they were bored as heck while people were moving stuff into the house. Nice kids. We looked at my rocks, made some Harry Potter dueling wands, invented a game to play with them, and ran around the park. Yes...I RAN around a park with a pair of kids. It was fun. Jeff's family is very nice, and I enjoyed meeting them. :)
Jeff also lent us a couple end-tables that didn't fit into his new living room. Or maybe he gave them to us permanently. Who knows? All I know is I can use them. :)
Woke up with a migraine, tho. Mom called shortly thereafter. Lots of news there. My stepsister is pregnant. Oh joy. My Dad's coming to visit tommorow - we're gonna go down to the beer and BBQ festival at the waterfront. Hope it stays nice.
Marrr. Still too much to do with my stuff for tribe gather. Dunno if I'll get it all done, but I'll try. Gotta work on those stone grids, beads, sketch, make some sigils, and the like. Woo.
Satyr's Moon tonight...too overcast to see much, tho. I have my athames earthed under the Bíle, tho, to charge and empower for another year. Mm. No ritual tonight - too tired, but I think I really did my ritual last night. Even tho it wasn't really a formal ritual, it fufilled the need.
Mm. Dreamt last night of being imprisoned in some convoluted complex...no nature, all enclosed...and then breaking free, outside, running out into grass and trees and outside the fence. Sitting on the fence were ravens, who were preening and showering the earth with feathers. I was collecting them. I got the sense they were some form of guardian, an agent of Justice, and that a token of a feather was a good thing. I had handfuls. Morrigan loves me. ^_^
I found it meaningful, then, when I found the feather today.
Mm. As we took a drive last night, before we came home for a bit, before my walk...I watched the wind roll through a field of almost-ripe wheat, and it hit me - First Harvest's almost here. Lughnassadh is only 2 weeks away! Where did my summer go? It's almost gone. The Wheel of the Year is turning...I can track it in the moving constellations, the growth of the fields...soon Autumn will be upon us. I can feel the Change in my bones...moving into something comfortable, familiar. Mm. Coming home.
Ok....gotta go look up listings for the Drive-In and mebbe get comfy for bed. Mm. Need water. Blessed Full Moon, everyone. I'll see you around.

I don't want Autumn yet.. i'm not ready.. :\ but, i guess it doesn't matter. i'm not ready for a lot of things.
