I have just finally gotten around to doing some painting; I have been back and forth on one idea for years, but finally decided to do it. I repainted my Paul Borda Morrigan statue.

When I got Her, she was quite dirty; I cleaned Her up as much as I could, but it was never a really pleasing colour. I never could tell if it was the wood colour, or the stone colour - She'd collected a lot of dust, and cigarette tar (ugh!), so was always kind of a muddy grey-black-brown.

I ended up giving Her a nice deep-red-copper colour, with a black wash and bronze drybrushing. I think She's much more pleased with the result. Pics later, when the clear coat is dry.

Edit: Pictures are here -

http://www.witchscauldron.net/temp/statueflash.jpg - shows more of the base colour.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
