Have a Shiny Green Moment!
Mar. 7th, 2009 11:42 pmA post inspired by the arrival of March, a month I associate with crows, wind, storms, and a deep green.

Date: 2009-03-18 08:52 pm (UTC)The center stone is a polished tektite, which is a piece of meteorite. Typically you don't see them as nicely polished as that one - this one has great fans and streaks of rusty red and silvery shimmering blue through it. Sometimes you'll see it sold as "Australite", since they come from Australia.
Tektite is supposed to be a strong boost towards lucid dreaming. When I dream with one, they're insanely detailed, like they were acid-etched. Almost always, the subject matter is on a massive scale, overwhelming in scope. But if you're not used to that, it can be very hard on your brain. Pairing it with a softer stone, like a quartz, or a moonstone, or an amethyst, takes some of the edge off. If you're not much for remembering dreams or having them often, a tektite is a big stimulant.
Tektite also stimulates astral travel, contact with Others, and strengthens and widens personal energy fields.
On a less woo-woo note, it can help with mental clarity - I always feel like I can see even the smallest details with it. You don't miss things as easily, which helps keep you from making mistakes of omission. They are very helpful with problem solving.
