I hate hospitals. I have spend a miserable, frightening night trying to understand what is happening, and now I have my answer.

I have diabetes.

I'm still scared. I was feeling almost healthy for awhile. Now in the space of hours, I'm really not.

I need some sleep.

*hugs tight* I sort of know what you're going through...though indirectly. My mom has diabetes, as well as my mate's dad, and it's really not as big a deal as doctors and such want to make you think. Walking is good, mmyup, and can lighten the symptoms. That, and check your blood sugar on a daily basis. You'll learn all this crap in time, though. I hear most diabetes people say that it hardly affects their daily life more than the few seconds they take to check things, and they feel better when they're on the medication. My thoughts are with you. *hugs again*

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
