The weekend was gorgeous. Howling wind, brilliant clear skies - it was too frigid for me to take a full moon walk at the covenstead, but it was the soul of beauty, in my eyes. It might sound strange, but the weather (and proximity to the woodstove) made Imbolc for me. It might have been a little late, but that kind of winter is worth waiting for. It has a feral energy that can't be found elsewhere. I am glad it doesn't last too long, though, because it makes the air vibrate insanely and I can see it everywhere as a blue-violet shimmer that eats my brain. I become a total space-case. Everyone was kinda spacey this weekend, tho.
We come home, and it's still, silent, and snow is falling gently for hours. We got like a foot of soft powder snow yesterday. More snowsqualls are on the way here, so I can't say what tommorow will be like...but the snow's up to my knees now, as it should be.
Hope everyone's keeping warm. :>
