Took my favorite bus ride today - out to Walmart. The leaves are slowly becoming beautiful - I watched the dogwoods shed a cascading rain of gold in the wind as we went our way, and the maples and birch are turning golds and oranges and reds too. :) Very very nice feeling from the trees.
I bought musky incense (was supposed to be vanilla, but who's counting) for my mini-incense holder, candles (never have enough candles when you're pagan), cat litter (yay no smell!), paper towels (a watercolorist's nescessity), conditioner (thinking of dying my hair orange or maybe black again), dish soap (Dawn - the best, and it smells like apples :D), and some charcoal filters for the cover to the cat litter box (yay REALLY no smell!). So exciting, eh? I went ooot and abooot, at any rate, and talked to a whole bunch of people I know. Was a good afternoon.
Jeff bought me the most adorable little sparkly crow knick-knack that bounces on a spring suspended from a suction cup, after dinner. I have him stuck to my kitchen door window on the porch side. Hee! Makes me happy - so what if I'm easily amused.
I have discovered who to blame for the weather - the South! >_<
Stupid hurricanes in the Gulf keep pushing super-warm and moist air into our little region of the planet. It is sticky here as I speak, and miserable. Ugh. We're getting quite the wind here, tho.
I'm not gonna fuck up the weather systems in the world trying to shift tracks on hurricanes, even if I could. So mote it be...
The wind is calling me tonight. I want to go spread my wings in it and fly. Maybe I will. Maybe I'll just skip the movie (the boys want to go see Red Dragon - I did enjoy the book immensely) and stay home and watch the wind.
I dunno. Gotta decide.
