Egyptian Collar
Aug. 22nd, 2005 02:22 pmSo...for whatever reason (mostly insanity) I decided to see if I could actually bead an Egyptian collar.
Pain. Sooo much pain. The wire-bits that are the vertical beads in-between made my hands swell. Took two days to do them all. Then beading it was unsuccessful for about 4 times - I couldn't get the pattern right to curve and lie flat, properly.
Then at 2 AM on Saturday, I figured it out. And now I can bead Egyptian collars. O_o
Scan of the collar - it has a dangly counterweight and everything. This gives you a better sense of the pattern and colour, but not the way it drapes.
Collar, on person - yes, I am your model. No, I am not lovely. :p It looks better on people.
This collar is for my high priestess, and the colours match her egyptian robe. It could be done in any colour, tho.
