Crack....Peas with Crack....
Mar. 15th, 2003 11:07 amThe title is referring, of course, to wasabi peas. They hurt so damn much to eat...and yet I masochistically want to eat more and more and more. Hot sweet crispy roasty CRACK! >_< WASABI!!!!!
So yes, yesterday was back to Pacific Mall in Markham. Janis, I'm sorry, I forgot the camera - AGAIN! I even put it in the carry bag...I just forgot to actually put it in the car. D'oh! Jason got his computer boo-boo all fixed, and it runs and he is happy. Jeff found a Sheepo plushie that is way too damn cute...and then proceeded to search every gift and toy shop for two rows looking for Sheepo material. Personally, I was far more amused with Gloomy the Naughty Adult Bear. And for some reason, I now want to see this HK movie called Golden Chicken - a movie with a blow up sex doll on the cover can't be wrong!
Before hitting the mall, though, we did stop at Michaels'. Jeff bought a dip pen and some ink, and some sealing wax...later we came home and made a total mess of the kitchen dying sealing wax and making wax cakes. It was fun. :) Woo!!
Anyway...back to the mall. We wandered a bit, skipped over to the little mall, did some playing of games at the arcade, and looked around for bubble tea without tapioca, since it was scaring me. We didn't find any tho....Jeff got a LOT of Pocky, and some Pretz (and Damn that pizza stuff is good). We left the little mall, and headed for some food.
FOOD. It's the food court, really...Taste of Korea and Sapporo along with Bubble Tease...but you can order off this huge combined menu and have tea with dinner, so it's awesome. Jason had chicken teriyaki, Jeff had some awesome grilled makerel, and me? Well..I was bad. I had a 35 pc. sashimi and sushi boat. It was HUGE. And it came with this awesome chili-sauced fish salad...amazing. It hurt to eat..and I couldn't stop. Lots of that going around yesterday. But man...I was SO full. >_< I felt like a Buddha walkin' outta there.
So we ate...bought some walnut cakes. I got some of these awesome cute little (expensive) star-shaped cat's eye beads. Very nifty. Make something special with them, mebbe.
So yes...that was the day at the Mall again. Love that tea. Love wasabi peas. And Pocky. And Pretz. Is there anything the Japanese can't make better by making it in stick form? (Even the women are sticks...hehe.) Anyway. I go now and think happy thoughts of Gloomy vs. Sheepo.
