I have had my good meal, my body is kicking this cold's ass, and I am starting to feel somewhat better. It's progress. :)

We went poking through the Value Village last night for uuuuugly clothing for a couple of LARP characters. I'll take a picture of Jeff tonight - it guarantees to be NASTY, since nothing he bought is made of a natural fiber. 100% polyester, baby. >_< I myself found a lovely black and blue scarf that makes a nice altar cloth, and a very evil looking 7-day jar candle.

It's like those Catholic ones, except it's the "Society of the Monkey's Paw". I have since discovered it was created as a promo for a game company, Crave Entertainment, and accompanied a pamphlet that outlined current events in the company. I wonder how this one showed up in our Value Village. At any rate, it looks hella-scary and cultish, and I'm keeping it. :p Fun for under a dollar.

I also picked up more hair dye (finally) yesterday. I wussed out - it's the reddest salon red you can get. No blue. I'm such a baby. Gonna try to do this myself sometime today, so it'll be...interesting. Wooha.

I forgot what I was gonna say. O_o Hardly surprising.

I think I'll go light my cult candle and dye my hair. Yeah. Wooha!

My upstairs neighbours suck. They really do.

Liath is in heat once a month, and unfortunetely she's a yowler. I can't shut her up. And usually I can't even find her - she's in the basement, hiding in the stone foundation under the kitchen, or behind piles of basement-dwelling crap. it's very annoying to not being able to shut her up.

Why my neighbours suck - today. )

Grr. I'm so very frustrated. I now have two strays that I brought in out of love and (perhaps misplaced) kindness. Mealla's never loud. Liath had kittens. I still have a freakin' kitten. I have *3* farkin' cats to fix, and I simply can't afford to do them all. Zathras, love my boy, is already fixed, but was an expensive little kitten.

It works like this: We could fix Kitten, and not have to worry about pregnant girls. Except he's also got a hernia needs fixin', and it'll be about $300 for the surgery. Mealla and Liath will both only be around $150 - so again, $300. And the vet'll wanna give them all shots first - add on $60. I don't have this sort of money.
And yet I don't want to give them to the shelter here in town, knowing they'll probably die.

I'm going out tonight. I can't leave Liath in the crate in the living room all night, and I know the bint upstairs will just complain again anyway, no matter what I do. So either I find homes for these cats, or $600. >_<

On a different note, my hair's dyed now. Film at 11.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
