Yesterday was productive. Taught a lesson, sketched out 5 paintings, did a working for OtherJeff. Still have a few more things to work on. Hopefully I can get everything managed, and I'll get my Yule gift-making finished in the next week or so.
I'm posting from J's machine. My D: drve has developed some bad sectors, and I have the Scandisk scanning them and fixing it as it goes. There's like 1.2 million clusters, tho, and we've managed to scan around 18,000 in around half an hour. Doesn't matter...it'll be time-consuming, but I need my machine to work. Hopefully it won't result in losing the D: drive - most of our music is there.
Zathras says hello. He's watching me type, for some reason! :p Silly cat. My cats have all been hanging out in the bedroom or on the couch again. I guess when the weather gets colder, the bedroom's warm with all the bedding there, and laundry...and the living room couch has a heating vent under it that makes it toasty.
Our flood relief came in! Not as much as we'd hoped, but better than a kick in the pants. And PANTS!!! Morg gets pants now. Pants, and some new shirts, mebbe. Very exciting for me. My current pants are in dire straits. I couldn't pour anything in them and slosh it around, because there are many holes. It's weird to be looking forward to shopping - I'm an "get in, get it, get out" type normally. But clothing I have to be picky about - I won't wear anything that's vaguely uncomfortable, no matter how good it looks.
Jason's home tonight, as per usual. Looking forward to Yule, not looking forward to Christmas, but Yule is good. I have new robes! Always cheers me up. And there will be baking soon! Many cookies and things. Mmm.. :)
A thought, tho - what sort of cake should I bake for Yule at L&A's, and what is the traditional token in the cake? Research is in order, methinks.
