ARGH!

Someone stole $800 worth of my jewelry off my rack at LARP tonight while we were doing closing announcements over in the SCR. Between 10:50 and 11:20 tonight someone wiped out my business.

We've never had any problems leaving anything in our ST room, and doing announcements in a different room across the commons at the end of the night. I trust my players, and we've never had a problem.

Unfortunetely, you apparently can't trust Trent students. (At least I hope it's students - if it's a LARPer they're toast.)

So...They left a bunch of bracelets on the table, and one arm of the jewelry rack still had necklaces on it. Didn't take the LARP's money, didn't take anyone's wallets, didn't take any earrings off the earring board. They also left a necklace I'd just beaded tonight lying neatly on the table - it had been hanging on an arm of the rack that had been cleaned off.

So. Angry doesn't describe me right now. I feel cold and very very sharp, tho...so it's really really angry anger. >_<

Getting ahold of Trent Security sucks. Wondering if I should call the cops in the morning and report my stolen items.

I was supposed to be vending at PhantasmCon next weekend, on the Saturday. Guess not now! Can't sell when you've got no stock.

And to top off my evening: The "other coven" moved Mabon from Saturday this week to Saturday next week - when I'm running the LARP at the convention. So I yet again don't get to do a holiday, or a coven thing. Beginning to feel as if I should just fucking give up.

I'm going to have a nice long talk with The Morrigan tonight. I am NOT the woman to cross in this manner.

That's the thing about stealing hand crafted items (I know, i've had masks stolen) - if they wear it, if they try to re-sell it, if they show it anywhere near the area they stole it from, you have a good chance of finding out about it. It's distinctive.

Get your LARP friends to keep an eye out, and anyone you know at Trent to do the same. Let security know to keep an eye out. You know who you have sold jewellery to, and if someone else appears with some not sold to them by you, you are one step nearer to finding the culprit ;)
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
