Tired, sore (SORE), and frustrated. It will be a bloody miracle if the basement is fine by next Friday. Lots of things to throw out. I lost most of my books and all my V:TES cards. Have to have someone come in and check the washer and dryer, and the hot water tank. At least there's electricity now.

I'm filthy. Dirt and chalk dust and water. UGH. But my house is...interestingly decorated, now.

Crap to clean up, gotta make a Walmart run and eat something. Later.

Ugh. I'm sorry, Morg. >.< The upside is if you don't have it cleaned by next Friday, we can all help. =)

It'll be cleaned out by tommorow night. No problem there. From there it's just getting everything really dry, and trying to combat the smell.
Washing a little laundry won't be so bad, as long as the washer and dryer didn't go south on us. It could be much worse. It just means I'll have to work harder at the rest of the house once it's done. :p

Don't worry too much, we'll be coming to see you, not your house...=)

Yes, but if the reality of the situation is I have things drying out all over the place, no hot water, and no washer and dryer to clean up all my wet stinky things, I won't be having people here. I want the house to be clean, my laundry done and put away, and my basement dry and clean-smelling. I also really would appreciate being able to wash my dishes and have showers at home.

Well, we don't care if the place doesn't look it's best. Really, we don't. We have the time off, we want to see you and we're coming, damnit. If you say we can't stay at your place, that is fine, we'll stay at a hotel. But. We. Are. Coming. =P

*hugs* Sorry about your stuff Morg... are your books at least replaceable? I was horrified to hear how serious your rains up that way were. I'm so glad you, Bark and the kitties are okay though. Please take it easy and don't wear yourself out cleaning!

I hope they're replaceble, although some of them are rare books by Michael Moorcock that took me years to find. I can only make a list, and prowl around the book store for them. There were a lot of them that were gifts and things, tho...it sucked.

Vampire: The Eternal Struggle. Previously known as Jyhad. Pisses me right off, it does.
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
