Miserable heat, how I curse you! That's the last time I bring Summer in, I think. I might be a Summer baby, but I loathe Summer. Bleh. It's nearly impossible to take a cold shower with our new fixture in there, too. Double bleh. Should get cooler after tommorow, at least. That hopefully will end the proto-migraine nonsense I keep waking up with - yesterday was the not-fun with a migraine.

My neighbours are bulidling a new front porch and fence. While I am all for home improvement, I am generally unimpressed with the copious amounts of loud thumping, banging, electric saw whining, hammering, and rumbling ancient van noise that have been coming in my windows for two weeks. I hope they finish this project soon.

My neighbours also chopped off the hawthorne that used to cover our bathroom window so they could drive their stupid new Cadillac into the driveway without the threat of branches. I personally wonder if that tree is on our property, and not theirs. At any rate, now there's no nice shade and cover over our bathroom window, and anyone can look in and see you while you're on the toilet, if the window is open. I've been keeping the blind down. :\
I miss the shadow of the green leaves and the colour in the bathroom. All I can say is they'd better leave my kitchen window tree the hell alone.

Ah well. Justin's in today, so I should get to the cleaning and the organizing and the hey hey.

If it's any comfort, cutting down hawthorn trees is supposed to incur the wrath of the fairies.
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
