Today is clouded over, not billowy dark blue-grey layers of clouds which I love, but a thin veneer of misty grey haze streched over the city. It's as if someone airbrushed silver silk onto the sky. It is an odd feeling, too - I went outside briefly and the air feels silky too - as if it's just gliding over my skin and hair, catching my feathers briefly, and on past. Like walking in a slipstream. Maybe I'm just feeling aerodynamic today. Maybe my raven self is being assertive. Maybe I'm just waxing poetical about humidity. *chuffs* Whatever.

I am feeling somewhat more calm, after last night's spate of dubious and manic behavior. I am still very silly, but am lacking the energy to really put any of it forth.

Last night I dreamt I was travelling to unknown places with unknown people...we stayed in other people's home, watched people's pet birds fly overhead in a big glass sunroom. The birds were all white and stained crimson - even the crow. Then we were being plotted against by some old woman named Maeve, while we were in England. We were also diving in an arctic pool with sharks and tropical fish and seals. O_o
I think last night's dream was simply the product of an overworked and disturbed mind.

But you know what they say - better disturbed than disrobed.

So today will be a quieter day, I think, spent waiting for rain, and perhaps enjoying a cup of tea. Who knows...maybe I'll get some more painting done, too. *snerks* Yah, riiiight. It's been a while since I had some tea...I love its' rich, tannin-laded swirls. I love the light through its' amber tones. I love it. Mmmr. I feel like I'm drinking something with its' own natural aesethic.

Alright. I'll stop babbling on.

You dreamt of Maeve? Wow, perhaps you should go to England to discover a bit more about it.

My teacher has encountered Maeve before, and her tale of it was rather interesting. Most of the God/desses I dream of seem to have a darker nature, or a martial bent - Maeve would fit in perfectly along those lines. Heh. She kept calling me "Black Shuck" on the phone. I found that rather amusing. ^_^;; Of course, I do want to get to the Isles sometime, meet some of my family over there, see the stones at Callanish, go experience the Morrigan's cave in Ireland.

Where is the cave? I'll be back in the UK as of mid sept and i'd like to check it out.
I'm very spiritual, but I dont conform to traditional religions, wicca included, but I love the old Gods. Great in some ways, but I tend to lose out on some information :o)

Well, all I know is that in some sleepy farmer's field in Ireland, is where the Morrigan's Cave lies. I read about it in someone else's tale of their visit, on the Grove of Sinann website, and the story seems to be gone. :\

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
