In the Stars?
Nov. 14th, 2003 02:26 pmAstrology confounds me. Someone on one of my boards asked for people who had three planets in the same sign to post to them. I have three planets in Libra, so I answered. She took my birthdate, location, yadda yadda, as well as my planets, and gave me back this:
Greeting Morgandria,
You appear to be a great great healer, but you got your talent, at least in part, the hard way.
Um ok? I now emote with a very bewildered expression - I can't keep a houseplant alive, let alone heal anything. I've never thought of myself as a healer.
You have a bucket with handle sort of chart. Everything is in your 10th-4th houses, with lone Chiron in Taurus over in the 8th House. This makes Chiron, the wounded healer, VERY important in your scope. I really recommend reading up on Chiron; there are many good books and websites about this asteroid
Chiron in Taurus in the 8th House certainly makes you a powerful Earth Priestess, and also a healer of both earth and of priestesses. You may have experienced death young. You may have special talents helping people die, or connecting with the dead. You may have lots of sex magic.
Does that mean I practice it a lot, or I have a knack for it? I dunno. As for death - well, no. I didn't experience death at all as a child, really. I knew things died, but my own experiences with death didn't happen until I was mid-teens.
Having Sun conjunct Saturn in Virgo makes you quite serious and very competent and detail oriented. These two are on the cusp of your 11th and 12th house, so they probably manifest more as healing skills, than as research skills, but you are good at both.
well, that at least makes sense. I like details. I like research. But again with the healing thing...I like research better, and I don't know what the heck she means by healing.
Pluto conjunct Mars in the 1st means there is a volcano in you. Sometimes people who have been victims of violence have this placement, and because they can't easily express their own rage in reaction, they get pent up and it comes out under pressure. Again since Chiron pretty much rules your chart, as you heal yourself of past trauma, you become more and more the extremely powerful healer of others. Just your BEING, just that you exists heals others, but beyond that, you also earn some of your great healer abilities through study and work.
OK...that made sense until the whole past trauma thing. I can't express my anger well, and I know that - but the rest of this has lost me.
With Uranus in the 2nd, you do not have a regular sort of vocation, rather what you do for a living is bound to be unusual and maybe even revolutionary.
Woo! Revolutionary beading! O_o
Meditation really nurtures you.
Yes, but I think it should for everyone.
Your Chiron and your Sun/Saturn and the Ceres at your IC create a Grand Earth Trine. This means you can actually MANIFEST. You can create something concrete that lasts beyond your life.
I'm really uncertain I even want to touch this statement.
You Cancer (ouch) Moon also helps you as a healer, of course.
Gee...here I was thinking all it helped me with was being flaky and moody.
The good news for people with very Chironic lives is that the wound happens young and our lives slowly improve and our power to fight and heal grows by leaps and bounds. Which is to say, as long as you are on Path, the worst is always in the past!
If I knew what the friggin' wound was supposed to be, maybe I'd understand. Nothing that has happened in my life has been any more tramautic that most people's. I'm not special that way. In fact, I've had a pretty decent life. Confusing.
For FUN, hang out with Aquarians and/or pursue Aquarian demented activities.
WOOO! Hanging out with
iskorpit does tend to make me demented. Who else is an Aquarian?
I'm being a smartass here, but I really don't understand this chart much. So I posted as much to her, and got this as a reply:
Dear Morgandria,
Maybe because I am an Aquarius, I am always open to the possibility that astrology is a total crock (but if it is a crock, my being an Aquarius shouldn't matter, of course). No one is ever more surprised that astrology works than I am.
Most folks with Sun and Saturn conjunct in Virgo seem like they are accountants at heart, they are super anal housekeepers and very serious minded. They are the type you expect to see out ironing the grass. Do you have of these sorts of traits?
If so, is it possible that you are a healer but you don't know it? Take a look to see if people don't, in truth, feel much better after they hang with you? With your Cancer Moon you may well feel worse when they leave, but they feel suddenly GREAT!
Here is a description of Chiron in Taurus in the 8th House from the internet:
Chiron in Scorpio or the Eighth House: The path of Chiron in Scorpio is somewhat akin to Dante's Inferno. The path to growth and life may come through repeated experiences with the great mysteries of life, death, birth and transformation. These are the powerful mystics whose inner visions dominate their life-path. They may have empathic and psychic abilities which are sharpened through experiences of profound insight. They may suffer deaths and losses when Chiron is adversely aspected, but each loss will be followed by benefits or insights that boost them to new levels of understanding.
Chiron in Taurus seeks comfort from physical material, money and sex. They may have unusual sexual interests as a result of deprivation of appropriate physical affection or sexual abuse in early childhood. Sometimes they become teachers or counselors, with the subject of interest related in some way to the aspect of life they felt deprived of in childhood. They can be powerful teachers of the lesson of "self-worth" if they can overcome their own self-esteem issues.
``````````````
Now I used the word "Healer" because of other aspects of your chart and because your chart is so Chiron influenced and Chiron is by definition the great "Healer".
This clarified a few things for me...but I still feel sort of reserved about it all. Her final piece of wisdom for me was this:
With Libra Rising and Mercury conjunct Part of Fortune in your 11th House, you will probably evolve in time to working with people (or animals?). This could be via the internet I suppose, and again it will probably be a very unusual job title. You will definately, according to astrology, help others heal the kind of wounds that you have suffered from this life and then healed in yourself. After your Chiron return at age 50 or so, you will be amazingly powerful.
As much as I dislike saying it, I can't see myself living that long. :p But the concept of working with people/animals (animal-people, anyone?) online with an unusual job title doesn't really surprise me. Is that what I do right now?
So yeah. Not sure what to make of that particular piece of New Age babble yet.
Date: 2003-11-14 01:11 pm (UTC)I have three planets in Libra too. Mars, Saturn, and Pluto.
No idea how that pertains. Curiousity strikes me occasionally, though the steps I take down that path have never been very far. I usually turn with a sneer or a shrug, or an upsidedown head, and that is that.
I think it may be certain peoples perceptions that turn me away, or how confined it feels to me. Neat little boxes. ..For my eyes are ever peering skyward, mostly toward birds, or moon, then drifting beyond.
