Ugh. My cold continues to progress. I think it's moving into my chest now. I think I am going to stop doing healing spells for people - everytime I do one I get sick myself. O_o

My weekend was very nice. Friday night + Hallowe'en = busy busy 401. I nipped into the Occult Shop for some charcoal and incense sticks, and emerged smelling lovely. :p Wolf Moon was excellent, as always, and I really enjoyed how homey and casual it was. And I now know that if you owerwhip whipping cream you get butter. That was...interesting. I am no longer afraid of making soup, so I will be doing it more often methinks. [livejournal.com profile] ladyjane traded me some nice black and silver spiral beads for some rosequartz, so I have some nifty things to play with. :D

Saturday we did some running around and got components for the grossest looking dessert ever - the bleeding heart Jello mold. I ended up with a really awesome model crow toy, which is now on my Morrigan shrine. It's so cute! :D

Back to the Jello. UGH. It tastes good, but looks vile. In fact, when I stabbed it at the party and gashed the blood around, no-one wanted to eat it. Mission accomplished, I guess. I dressed up as The Morrigan - I have pictures around here somewhere which I will post to a gallery later, methinks. If you weren't afraid of smurfs before, you will be. You will be. The party was ok, and sometimes fun, but when I'm sick all I really want is to be warm and in bed.

Sunday was the best. I was nice and warm, I had juice, and best of all I had Food Network. I miss the TV when I'm sick. And I got to see Nigella Bites again - that woman is beyond sexy. We had a birthday dinner for J, and then headed home. The rain on the road was nasty, but we got back here ok.

So yeah...that was my weekend. I have some photos to put online here, when I've gone through them - I'll keep you posted as to when they're viewable. :)

Mmm smelly bits! I'm off to enjoy my pine incense and finish putting stuff away.
-M.

Hmm..maybe you might want to look into a body energy thing, like qigong or tai chi or yoga to raise your energy level up so that you don't depleat it for the sake of your friends. :-)
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
