Why bother?

witchscauldronWe've had a hell of a thunderstorm all night, the ground shook a few times, yadda yadda. I'm sorta sick, J's sickish...he gets to bed around 11:30. Bugger. I got to bed at 1 AM...figured I'd be ok.
I'm about ready to dismember some cats. 2:30 AM - thunderstorm breaks out again. They destroy my Horned God altar, smash some glass all over the floor where I get out of the bed. Fun. I clean up, try to go back to sleep.
3 more times there are incidences of cats bouncing off windows or other things, rattling, banging and nearly breaking things. I am awoken each time. Stupid spooky felines. If I could have caught one I'm sure I would have broken them instead.
THEN Jason's stupid alarm clock goes off, and wakes me up. He's not awake, BTW. Fucker. So...I vainly give sleep one more round, listening to the radio guy complain about rain and his internet being funny, and then a cat bounds off the window again. Last straw.
Mmm. Yes. 5 and 1/2 hours of broken sleep make me SOOOOO happy.
My cats are spending the day shut down in the basement.

P.S - oh, did I mention sometime overnight my monitor went off and somehow this has reset my colour brightness to a normal level? At least one good thing happened! -M.
