Acid-etched Dreams.
Aug. 8th, 2002 10:33 amI never had one, and really had no problems awakening; however, last night I slept with the one I had bought a while ago. It might be some time before I do so again...
The future was disturbing, and haunting at the same time. I was in Washington, DC - you know, Starfallz Country. :p Yeah. Met the president, who insisted I come to some big formal ball thing. The president wasn't the president now, tho, and I knew I had met him before somewhere. Walked through a group of kids plowing through a buffet filled with food that smelled completely artificial. One part of this building we were in - not the White House, which was a crumbling radioactive heap by some cooling towers - was full of fox shifters, walking around, politicking. I kicked the snot out of this huge bully of a fox bitch, and then took a walking tour of downtown - a ghost town. Everything still there, just no people and an unceasing, low wind.
Then I ended up back at this old Victorian house we were staying in, with real nature and stuff - far away from downtown. We took a drive - Saw some other hideous stuff...yellow skies, some power plant that made the water run uphill...all the roads were at right angles....astroturf in the parks for grass...mreh. Was frightening. Had a feeling I was walking around winged the whole time.
I don't think I will be sleeping with that tektite again for a while. It was like walking through a movie whose frames had been acid-etched; sharp, rather unreal.
