Still sick. I'm sitting here eating the chicken broth I made from the leftover bits of dinner - it's warm and spicy, and I assume good for a cold. I'm enjoying it, at any rate.

I'm waiting for the cloud and rain to build in here. Isabel is on her way. I probably shouldn't get excited about what amounts to a really heavy day of rain to us here, but we need it. It'll help the leaves turn faster. :p

Not going to the Plowing Match this weekend. We can't afford gas to travel. Likewise no Wolf Moon. :( This is an ongoing monthly trend that depresses the fuck out of me, and I don't honestly need external help being depressed. I was hoping my mom would give us a hand with gas money, but it doesn't look that way. I might try my Dad tonight, see what happens.

Autumn Equinox this weekend. Mm. I don't know if we have everything I need...I really need some apples for the ritual I've written. Cider or wine would have been nice, but at this point that's a luxury. I suppose we'll find out. It will also be the first time I've dared to perform ritual in the side yard. I'm hoping there won't be many/any people about. I'm still a little funny about that.

Yes. Apples. Other foodstuffs would also help immensely. We are once again struggling to feed ourselves. I may go to the Food Bank tommorow, see what we can get. :\ Of course, if we go home for the weekend, we get a)fed, and b) sent home with lots of frozen game, which is free meat for us. It's frustrating to have to live like that, tho - living like students, except we have less than most students. Bah.

I didn't get the web page maintenance job I applied for. I doubt I got considered at the Nutty Chocolatier - they haven't even let me know they got my faxed resume ok. :\ Given that they only wanted fax contact and gave no voice phone number, that's frustrating. I'm waiting to hear back from Sobey's about the fish counter, and that woman about the babysitting. She only calls early in the morning, apparently - I don't hear the phone anymore when I'm sleeping. That, or we're online and she gets the machine.

Ugh. Ah well. I'm gonna get cleaned up, and take some photos of my jewelry. Maybe later I'll paint that dish I've had sitting around since my birthday. All fun fun fun. Be well, all you hurricane-zone people.
