This morning I woke up, all was normal. Two hours after I woke up, I discovered I was bleeding. Fresh, red blood. Problem is, my period isn't supposed to be here for another week and a half. I have had normal regular periods, and aside from knowing which side I'm ovulating on and nasty pain when it happens, regular ovulations - up until this point.

I'm in a lot of pain. It feels like there's pressure happening down there...like someone's squeezing something in a giant fist. It is not making me very comfortable or happy. And I'm still bleeding. I'm bleeding a lot more blood than I think is normal, even if it was an early period.

I'm kinda concerned. I don't know whether to wait and see, or to go to the hospital and deal with the medical system I dislike so much. :\ I don't want to be bugged about my eating habits, my blood sugar, blood pressure, my weight or any of the stuff they usually nag and harrass me about - I just want to know what the hell is going on. Argh.

Morg, please go see the doctor. Go to the emergency room ASAP. If you truly do have PCOS (and a doctor has confirmed it, so I'm pretty certain you do), some nasty things could be going on and I'm often a pessimist in this, but what if one of the cysts (or a whole ovary) ruptured? I know what a pain in the ass it is to hear about your weight and be embarrassed by it, believe me, I do, but I really think that you should go see a doctor -now-. I want to see you in two weeks, hale and hearty. -hugs-

Count this as a third voice in favour of getting medical attention. If it does turn out to be nothing -- well, better to have been too careful than been not careful and had it turn out to be something serious. Please, please, get it checked out...

Done, been, and gone...

Wasn't nearly as bad as it usually is at the hospital. I was only there for a couple of hours. Apparently I've just been lucky with having regular periods, and it's just an irregular one. However, if it doesn't end on time, or gets heavier and stays there, I need to go back and have it checked again.

Heh. At least it's good to know there are no Great Old Ones lurking in my uterus.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
