I am in a home somewhere. Everything there is white. There is food in the fridge - my father's, all luxury foods, lobster, yummy stuff - but it is all rotten. There is nothing to eat. The food bank has no food - they are asking for milk, and eggs, and lamb. So we (we being an indeterminate group to me, besides Brooke and Jason) head to a mall. We are in Toronto - this is a dream-construct Toronto I am familiar with, as I know the location of this mall and a church nearby very well.

So we walk through the mall - it is very narrow, all twisty, corridors like a maze. It's crooked and uneven and delightfully so, for some reason. We stop and grab a bite to eat at a really old looking noodle stall, and eat as we walk. Then I have to retrace my steps alone through this maze of people, to return the dishes. The plates are an intricate pattern of blue and red.

As I walk back, I walk through dozens of young women trying on red wedding gowns, of different shades...I am stopped by one, and choose orange for her, for some reason. She thanks me, and I keep going. I am apparently in a hurry. I return the plates, collect Brooke (who I note is very pregnant), and walk through a daycare center before we are out on the street.

I want to go to the temple, to show Brooke, but it's too far for her to walk. We instead stop at the huge Cathedral I have seen before in this dreamscape. As we head in past the lush trees looking for a place to sit, I notice the name of the church: "Mary-As-Goddess"! O_O

We go in, and the church is full of children, and animals. Everything seems to be blue or red, and the altarpiece had no crosses save a Bríd's cross of wheat, and a painting of Mary with her arms raised to the Moon. The priest was dressed in red and white, and had red and white candles he was going around lighting from a bowl of sacred flame he had in his hands. The children and he were laughing - it was very nice.

I remember lighting candles...and seeing the font in the nave of the church - it was like a big stone well, bottomless and dark, reflecting candleflame. Brooke was relatively creeped out by this church, but enjoyed her seat as I lit candles, and resting her very pregnant self. I headed out of the church, telling Brooke to go wait in the circle of trees in the front yard of the cathedral, and headed for the temple as it started to rain - and then I woke up.

Very interesting overlapping symbols...candles, brides, lots of blue and red, water and fire contrasts. Bríd on my mind, I guess. I need to make a poppet still.

Liath's still sore, poor girl - looks like she wrenched her leg running around the other night. She's getting spoiled, though, so she doesn't mind that much. Hoppalong Liath...heh. Ah well. I have to email Lynna still to find out whether Wolf Moon's at her place, or the temple Thursday, and I have to see if Jason will sigh and roll his eyes at me again when I ask him about it, or if he'll actually give me an answer.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
