Something I Feel Strongly About

I think I feel strongly about a few things: proper use of the English language, people who make rape jokes, GLBT issues, animals, my religion. I suppose where I differ from most people is that I'm not always -vocal- about those feelings. I tend to keep my thoughts to myself. Maybe to some people that means I'm not passionate enough. I've just learned to save my words for when and where it counts.

The last thing I remember getting up and speaking about was the use of "gay" as a derogatory comment on a TF2 server. The situation is still not ideal, so I've stopped playing there for the most part. I tend to only log on when I know certain people are not online now. I lost respect for a few people who I'd considered friendly and fun, so it's sort of lost its' appeal anyway.

Lugh Lamfada

Like Manannan, Lugh and I really only 'met' each other because I was looking at Irish Recon. materials and methods. Certain parts of this path make intense amounts of sense to me, particularily in cosmology.

I discovered, after some time struggling with the issue, that I'm not particularily lunar in nature. And even though I'm practically albino, and it's sort of painful, I really need -light-. It's vital to my wellbeing, not just in the sense of Vitamin D. Many of my favorite Mysteries in life are based on light, and how it interacts with the world. During this realization is when Lugh came into my life.

My relationship with Lugh is not based solely on his association with Light. We share some kinship as warriors, he himself being a fine and accomplished fighter. And he's not called the 'Many-Skilled' for nothing. I also have a broad range of skills and crafts I've developed and honed over the years, so while I may not be the master of all, as Lugh is, I feel as if he looks upon my efforts well.

When I end up in dark places, Lugh is the spear-shaft of light that shows me the way through.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
