Well, not quite awake. Merf. I see that no-one wanted to comment in the post below this one, but that's ok - I don't really mind. I just thought more people had an opinion about me. *LOL* So much for ego, eh?
It's been getting colder here, snowing off and on between late autumn rain. It's been grey, but the rare days where it is clear it is also sharply cool and requiring a scarf. But I love my scarf, so it's all good.
lynxspirit has invited me to a howl in the summer, out in the faraway place of Colorado. A grrl howl! :D I'd love to go. I'll hitchhike if I have to...maybe. O_o I dunno. I would really love to be there. Just the thought of hanging out with like-minded people of the animal-people persuasion...mrr!
I have some other thoughts percolating, about washing dishes, folding laundry....the kitten seems to love sleeping on whatever I've just dumped out of the basket to fold, and then attacking me when I go to move it so I can fold it. And once I wrestle it free, he moves on to the next item. Silly thing!
Oh! And the aforepromised, albeit a while back, pictures of the snow we had 2 weekends ago. :) These were from Jeff's backyard, which overlooks the back-end of Jackson Park. :) It's the werewolf's park of choice in Peterborough.

Ok. I have absolutely nothing left to say in this post. I will be around...

Date: 2002-11-26 08:09 am (UTC)Hope I didn't deflate any egos. If I have, let me reinflate it a little by saying how lovely the snowy pictures are. Snow. I've heard of that - I thought they were just fairy tales told by parents to get the kids to rake up the leaves...

And snow is excellent fun! Most people who've never seen it, tho, must first get over the fact that it is indeed cold, and wet. Once you get used to that, it's terrific stuff. :)

Awesome pictures!

I would LOVE to meet you in person, as that always adds a very interesting 3rd dimension to the people I know already. I've made some of my best friends by meeting up with them. Setting that aside for now, I think that you're a very strong, compassionate, gifted woman. I realize that you are sometimes very forward, and although the truth stings sometimes, I usually try to assume that blunt honesty is part and parcel of the textual world that we're in now, simply because it's much easier to do that from behind a screen. So, I know that in real life, things might be softened by body language, tone, etc. However, it stills takes lots of gaul to be able to say something that might not be empty praise or lip service, so I always have appreciated you for your honesty. I think you bring to the table understanding, a listening ear, wisdom, understanding of things greater than I, and a willingness to help and teach others who cross your path. I also notice that you appreciate your friends to the nth degree and that's something that I personally, for obvious and not so obvious reasons, really take notice of and give brownie points for. Loyalty and strength of friendship is a virtue and something I strive for on a daily basis. And you seem to have it down just fine :)
If this helps, you could always ask me specific questions about what I think of you, and I'll be happy to answer them honestly like I have here :)

Ladyjane and I are thinking of going... Maybe we can rent a car together and make a road trip of it! A week-long car rental split between several people wouldn't be too bad... We could pack some camping gear and take two days to get there and two days to get back, camping at some in-between point en route... I think we could make this happen! You in?
*bounces excitedly*
