Yup. That's what garnet always looks like to me, too. Little pomegranate seeds.

The Cardinal one doesn't appear to be on that page - is it already sold?

If not, what length is it and how much? I'm kind of liking the look of that one...

Sorry! I should have posted that link, as well. It is still there! :)

Hmmm... It'll probably be a little while before I could do it, and I would ideally like it a little shorter - maybe 20"? Almost choker length but not quite that tight.

If you have any of the beads left from that one, maybe you could make me a shorter one once I have a little disposable income?

The cardinal one looks like cranberries and I kind of want to eat it. o.o

They're all gorgeous! Where do you get your beads?

I can easily shorten the piece for you, if that's what you'd prefer. I never mind shortening things for folks. Cardinal's been hanging around since last autumn, so I can't see it going anywhere any time soon.

If it sells before you can get to it, I'll see what I can do about making a similar piece for you.

I get them all over the place, local shops sometimes, but mostly online. There are a few eBay vendors I use, and I get a lot of my beads from http://www.beadaholique.com

The cardinals at my grandparents' former home used to sit in the rowan tree and feast. I miss them.

OK, sounds good! Work is picking up, and my money situation should be improving soon, but I have a pile of bills and debts to clear before I can spend money on pretties with a clear conscience. Once those are out of the way, though... :-)

Even more crunchy. I wonder if I can eat pomegranate now that my teeth are mostly fixed. I don't know if I want to try; might un-fix them. O_O
