gardening update
May. 24th, 2007 02:43 pmThese are pretty simple...I am not a gardener, really - I just know how to plant seeds.
Lots of flowers - this bed is the better of the two - it doesn't seem to dry out as much. Nasturtiums need TONS of water to grow well. The little gully of rocks in the middle is from a bad gutter that drops water really hard when it rains. Not ideal, but they seem to be flourishing, and eventually they'll cover the whole bed and climb the walls.
WHEAT! - the wheat from my Bríd shrine is growing brilliantly well. I expect it will happily stand up against the stoop there, and be tall. One nasturium is growing over there, out of the umpteen seeds I actually planted. That bed is much dryer than the one on the other side.
Not Lots of Flowers - This is coming along. I had given up hope of flowers here, but in the last couple of weeks 4 or 5 have come up scattered around the flowerbed. The weirdest thing is that that green-white plant in the middle is an annual, and yet it has come back every year now for 3 years running. Weird!
In between this picture and the one of the wheat should be one of a lil' cedar tree - there's 2 more nasturtiums coming up in that area. I have a feeling that if they come up enough the plant will climb the tree, and that amuses me.

My god, it's full of stars!!!
I went camping. There was vodka. I may still be hungover. And now I have to go grocery shopping... *hangs head brokenly*
