Mar. 31st, 2007 12:32 pmyay, another update.
The flu has become a sinus cold in our household. J's much more miserable than I am at the moment. We had some options for social interaction today, but now it's just warm blankets and soup for dinner. Wild and crazy, that's us.
I tried to avoid Facebook. I really did. But I'm running into old friends I miss, newer friends I miss, and strangely half my family is on the thing. So as much as I dislike 'social interaction' websites, it's been sorta fun finding people again, and seeing who ended up where after high school.
J's mom broke her arm this week, so I expect I'll be helping her put her garden in this year while it's healing. I'm actually sort of hoping I do. Be nice to get into some dirt. We're staying here for Easter this year too, so maybe I'll be helping with cooking, too.
One of his parents friends had their cat die this week, in their arms. They had switched the cat's food to one of the tainted brands, because the cat wasn't eating. I feel very sad for them. :(
I have occasionally fed my boys one of the affected brands as well, when their usual brand wasn't available, but only once or twice in the time period specified, and neither of them are sick in the least. I am strangely grateful for my picky eater, who dictates that I feed them only 1 kind of hard food, and 3 types of one unaffected brand of soft food. I complain about them, but I don't know what I'd do without them, either.
I hope the weather gets a touch warmer, so I can do away with my socks. I want sandal weather! I look forward to taking some good walks this spring, before it gets too hot and choked with tourists here.
Ah well - back to reality now. I've got a weekend of making more cedar smudge wands, and finishing some ankle bracelets with bells ahead of me.
