Migrained again today. It actually got worse today after the rain...which is odd. Not enjoying the headaches at all, and combined with this off-on fever I've got I am just not a happy bird.

The landlady is on crack. I went upstairs today to have a smell, while they were working up there - the apartment upstairs smells fresh and airy, despite the dust of the work being done, so...yeah. Not a whiff of cat OR damn basement. Mind you, the basement smell came up really bad again today - WHEN IT RAINED. Y'know, when the walls get wet and release all the odors trapped in the porous stone and mortar. And it was gone in an hour, after it stopped. Feh. She also didn't know the house had an attic at all, let alone one full of bats and pidgeons. So...yeah.

I rebeaded some of my own necklaces to different lengths so I could wear more than one at once. Right now I have on Elfy's lab, peridot, and iolite necklace, and a long, heavy strand of moss-green and silver glass, green freshwater pearls, green-tinged lab ovals, and a pewter knotwork charm. It's soft and verdant, and goes with my eyes and favorite sundress. I'll scan it, sometime.

Expect a new background and colours for my LJ soon. This one is boring me.

Gee, imagine that. Perhaps your cunt of a landlady should get around to fixing your leaky basement/foundation before she opens her horrible hole to spew forth 'its all yer faults" at you.

You know, I wonder. They have spray-on plastics in a can. I've seen artists use them to protect color-pencil drawings before. If you got a case of those and sealed the walls, wouldn't that stop the mold and the rotten smells?

It might...but...a case wouldn't do it. It is literally loose stone and mortar - the mortar is crumbling on all the walls, and there are actual physical holes to the outside that you can see through clearly. There is also a section under the kitchen that is little more than a on-your-belly-if-you're-thin crawlspace cut in the rock to make room for the furnace ducts.

It's just a very old house, and there's not much to be done for it. I don't think this woman has ever lived in an old house, and she's not the actual owner, so she's not gonna do anything he won't pay for...and he won't pay for much.

She's only the property manager. Any repairs have to be authorized by the owner, and I doubt he's going to look at the foundation any time soon. She's just a very picky woman, who I doubt has lived in an older home for any length of time.
