no subject

Yet another holiday season thrust upon us on the coat-tails of October. Gonna be a bit different around here.

I'm not doing Christmas this year. I am doing MY holiday this year, Yule. No running across the province, no uncomfortable family dinners, no cards, no massive gift lists. I will have a Yule tree, ritual with my coven, visit some friends, and enjoy some quality time with the boys.

I just can't do the gift thing this year, like I have been. Sorry if that disappoints anyone. I feel caught in a pattern of giving gifts because they're expected, not because I want to, and I like to give things to people when it feels right to.

I don't want anything for myself, either. If you feel so inclined, well, send me a card or a letter, or donate to an animal charity, or something. I really don't need anything except your friendship.

I'm not getting caught up in this commercialized nonsense this year...even if Raven sees shiny things for trees and starts salivating through me. :>
