There's a man down in my basement dismantling a furnace. Can we say "WOOT!"?
There might actually be heat tonight. Yeehaw. Cats are mighty unhappy about being stuck in the bedroom, tho.

Up stupid early again. Two days of not-enough-sleep is affecting me more than I'd like..I feel really groggy, and out of it. Oh well. Life goes on...I'll likely have a nap after Furnace Man is done today, and before Jason comes home.

Jason comes home! Yay! I want tentacle soup and dead fish on a plate.

Must talk to Dad when he gets home from hunting tonight or tommorow. Find out where exactly I'm going in Whitby for this memorial service on Sunday. Gee, I wonder if I have anything black to wear. [/sarcasm] Must wear something other than a pentacle, tho. This is yet another segment of my family I don't want to ever have to explain to.

And seriously...I'd like to stop reading on the one pagan board about how the thinning of the Veil is "sooooooper-powerful-Black&Decker-strong" this year, and it's gonna get...worse? Worse? I don't think it's any more powerful than any other year, and how does it get worse? It just IS. Ugh. Pagan melodrama. Had enough of it this week, I guess.

Mrrf. Kittens and beads are calling. Have a good weekend. :)

Epiphany.

I am a heat vampire. Pale and having no love for daylight (except for sunbeams on a bed), I lurk amongst the heated living, sucking the precious bodywarmth out of them with my chilled, pointed hands. Being cold-blooded, I can be killed with too much sunlight and heat, but just enough makes me a happy, drugged beast, whose stolen heat will let her live to another day.

Heh.

Vampire Quiz time! )
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
