Woot. Spent a good day yesterday.

Gemboree: Spent $38 and it was well-spent. Quite a haul. Mom never showed up. We came home to a message saying "Well, I got up at 8:20 and figured you'd have already gone"...WTF?? At 8:20 I was still stumbling zombie-like around the house making gross morning noises in my nose and throat. Oh well. Looks like Wendy had a good show too - lots of shinies. No crystal this year, tho - there weren't any little points left. Unfortunate.

The crystal man had two 16 lb. (7.3 kg, approx.) crystal spheres from Brazil. They were stunning...and also $100/kg. Which is better than the usual $200/kg. But I don't have $730 kicking around for a very large rock, no matter how pretty. It was marvelous to see, tho.

Met up with Karen, had sundaes, hung out at Sparrow Park eating crack(ers) and meat sticks (mmmm meat for Karen). Proceeded to breaking Karen into small mental pieces and threatened to make her live in my basement. Much that was silly occured. Although Karen shouldn't beat on Rose...Rose is too fragile.

LARP: Long, quiet night. Actually enjoyed it a fair bit, except for my back being spasmy and noticing the painful sunburn on my right forearm I earned on the car ride up. Relatively few players - summer game, long weekend - but it was a doozy of a night.

Off soon to claim some Robaxacet Platinum for my back and spend the afternoon sorting beads. :p

Of course I was beading today. :p Why wouldn't I have been? I have many projects in my future, I'm sure, but that's ok. :)

Carnelian and Blue - Actually not something I beaded today, but something I wanted to share because makes me feel good when I wear it.

Copper and Faence - well, not really, but I love the colours. I have to thank Rose for the ankh. :)

Labradorite Pentacle - a treat for myself. Super shiny, and allll mine.

Rolling Thunder - a full moon of lovely stormy lab, with cute little knotwork spacers and more lab on the strand. I want a few more storms before Autumn sets in - we'll see if I get any.

Suncatcher - I was thinking of rainbows through crystal, and chakras, and all sorts of things while I was beading this.

OK. No more show and tell right now. Mebbe later.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
