Someone else is cleaning my basement, RIGHT NOW. This makes me a very happy girl.

Doing some stuff with my student today - hoping that Mr. Cleaninator will be done by 11 AM so I have time to tidy up and get my shit organized. Also hoping the basement doesn't take long to dry out so I can shove my cats and their crap (literally) back downstairs. They have been really good about being trapped upstairs when the basement's wet, but I want my space back. Having four cats on top of me breathing my air sucks.

Ok. Stuff to do. Talk at people later.

Grr.

Cleaninator is still here, and is still going. Stupid bint in their office told me yesterday it wouldn't be longer than an hour...and now it's been two. Very unhappy. If they're still here by noon I'll be pissed. I have things to do - like GO POTTY >_< - that I can't do while he's still downstairs.

To distract myself, a quiz. )

Edit: He left at 12:15, about. He left me muddy bootprints everywhere - I hate that, but all service people do that. But then I saw that he never bothered to clean the contaminated basement stairs. Unimpressed. The basement is sopping wet, and it looks as if all he did was push the dirt around. AND then, upon going out for the mail, I discover he has left three large, wet, filthy plastic bags full of all the wet nasty stuff he managed to suck up, rather than just push around the basement. Where has he left them? Lying in the middle of the driveway. The MIDDLE.

Servicemaster is never coming into my house again. Between their flaky useless phone woman, and the shittastic cleaning job, I'm extremely unhappy. What a rack of asshats!
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
