Monday monday.
Oct. 27th, 2003 10:02 amAnother weekend come and gone. My internal clock is all screwed up again. Damn daylight savings time! :p Had a decent weekend. Got treated to a lot of things by the Rifts boys and my Mom.
Bancroft was lovely this weekend...just pale ghosts of birch and maples holding their gold-orange leaves now, and a dusty-golden forest floor filled with skeletons of branches. When the fog lays heavy over this, it's beautiful. I did a lil' something out in the dark and the fog for Herne, and listened to the absolute silence of the night only seconds after every hound in the area went nuts during the invocation. Mm. There were also a lot of deer along the road coming home...I saw at least five, a black bear, and a fox before I fell asleep.
Mom was so sick when she was here. Drew needed his computer, so she had to come get it - but MAN...I wish she'd stayed home. She wasn't a very happy bunny. We left the boys here with the computer and the Xbox, and went shopping. I am an unabashed clothes whore, so I managed to find things that were too expensive and got them anyway. What's not to love about a sapphire-blue velvet mandarin-style dress? And I love the black one I picked out too...it's slinky. Mm.
I'm hoping this week just flies by. I can't wait for Friday. I can't wait to cook my feast food. I can't wait to go pick out my Halloween candy. :p Big Halloweenie here...and very excited to be out for the weekend.
Ok. I've got housework, crafty bits, and other assorted nonsense to finish, so I will do that.
