1. What were your favorite childhood stories?

Oh..mm. I loved anything by Roald Dahl. I was also very fond of a silly english book called "The Witches' Handbook", The Dark Crystal, the Gnomes book, and anything about unicorns or horses.

2. What books from your childhood would you like to share with [your] children?

Mm. Not having children. But I encourage everyone else's kids to read whatever they like - reading is good.

3. Have you re-read any of those childhood stories and been surprised by anything?

Just that they still enchant me. :)

4. How old were you when you first learned to read?

I was 8 months old, I believe. Disturbingly precocious.

5. Do you remember the first 'grown-up' book you read? How old were you?

I was about 7 or 8 when I first read The Hobbit. I was 9 when reading my father's collection of Michael Moorcock novels.

Ugh. Still hot. Waaarg. Melty Morg.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
