copper spirals in the sun
Jun. 24th, 2003 02:33 pmMrrf. Had a big post and LJ ate it. gnar.
The Stock page has been updated. Go check out the new odds and ends. :)
I have been wire-wrapping stones for 2 days. I love the copper wire. Copper is my new favorite metal. I want it everywhere. I now have to decide what I want to do with these stones - what to keep, what to gift, what to sell...even what to bead, and what to simply hang on a cord. Many thanks again to
acrimonius for the abalone piece. It's awesome!
Mrr. Still have tribe pendants and other things to make - it's just so fecking hot I don't want to make the A/C overwork by turning the oven on.
I am also very seriously thinking of trying to make my own athame. I think I'm insane. Not forging one...just cutting the blade out from a sheet of copper and filing the edges smooth. Make a nice leaf shape or something. Not sure what I'm doing, to be honest - I'm terrified I might mess it up somehow. Not to mention I have NO idea what I'd use for a hilt. :\ I guess I'll keep thinking about it. Mebbe a wooden athame someday, too.
Ah well. Heat sucks. See you later.
