Or out of the loop, at least. I normally would have come home and posted, but Sunday I was all ready to destroy cats, and yesterday I spent the whole day dismantling and cleaning the kitchen...'cause we got a new computer desk for Christmas!! Jason's mom rocks. :)

Click here for photos from Sunday - desk is in here.

So with the new desk, and the microwave up off the floor, and my Bríd altar in the kitchen finally, the room feels SO awesome. And there's tons and tons of floor space in here now. I imagine if I ever need to have a ritual in the house here with more than myself, it'll be in the kitchen. Wow. Love it in here.

I can't wait to see if my Dad bought us that iron bedframe Jason and I wanted for Christmas, either. We almost feel like we have a real house with real furniture. And the bedframe would make such a difference to the feel of the bedroom. Not to mention I could start hiding some of my crap under it. :p

We had a really good time in Orillia this weekend. Tons of snow! :D Was beautiful. Jason's family is lots of fun, and it was relaxed and I even laughed. I hope everyone enjoys their holidays.

Mrrf. Ah well. I should be getting on with my day here shortly. Talk to you all anon.

Damn it! My stupid ancient range has lost the element inside its' oven - the bottom one has once before done this trick of melting itself apart and snapping. Which means it needs to be replaced. Which was hard in the first place because it's difficult to find an element the right size. Which means I am without the tool that bakes my Fimo! D'oheth! And it broke just as I was about to put my current project in >_<

How old is my range? It has a FORD logo on it. Not kidding. It's one of the usual apartment-provided beauties...one of the elements don't really work, another is completely dead. The stove has that element issue. And the door to the oven is almost right off its hinges.

The only appliance in this house that hasn't gone fucked is the washing machine...knock on wood! I hope it stays that way.

So now...I wait for John the friendly fixer-of-appliances to call. Just a damn bad week to have a broken oven. :\

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
