My Yule lights have got kaput on me. I am decorating today, three days ahead of my normal Dec. 1st date for yule-izing the house, simply because tommorow I'm setting aside to paint and craft to my heart's content, and Saturday Merfle and the Wagon are comin' to visit me. (yay!)
There's no-one around online because of American Thanksgiving, so I am contented myself this morning with yule-izing my Blackbriar site too, and cleaning my house for visitors. I mopped. I cleaned the bathroom and the living room. I'm still doing laundry...but I was done, and bored. So up comes the yule box...set up the tree...and start playing with infinite strings of lights.
Well, pisser. The blue ones are dead. The blue and red strings on the motion lights for the window are dead. And I can't decorate the tree until after the lights go on it...so Jason and I are going looking for Yule lights when he gets home from work. Woot. Maybe some nice tinsel strings, too, for my doorframes. Make the whole house spooty-shiny-sparkly. :)
Can't tell who's a raven here, eh? o.o I like shiny.
I had a funny moment...found some cards from last year in the Yule box. It's so strange how much can change in a year. Ah well.
Hrmmph. I'd better get back to doing something else - maybe I'll go play in my fresh clean shower. Enjoy your Fat n' Happy Turkey Day, 'murricans. I'll see you when you're back from the triptophan coma. ;)
