So we got a new keyboard. Yay! typing is much easier, provided there's no operator error on my part. It doesn't click, tho. I had this big heavy clicky keyboard for my 386 I loved the noise of. This keyboard is light and airy, and barely whispers. It's a good functional piece, but somehow just doesn't have the magick of the clicky one.

I think I'm getting sick. My nose is practically gluing itself shut, and I'm achy and tired. I kinda felt crappy yesterday too, so I wonder. It would be just in time to head to Orillia for Thanksgiving, so I find it a)likely to happen, and b) a conspiracy of germs that I won't be well for any family gathering ever. >_<

I am in need of more incense. Surprise, eh? ^_^;; I always need incense. This time it's stick incense for my various altars, and dragon's blood resin for my ritual incenses. Woo. I don't think I can afford any at the moment, tho, so I will just have to poke around the Witch Doctor's Office in Orillia with the eye of a window shopper, and enjoy it that way.

My goals this weekend, other than to hope I can scrounge a few dollars for incense before I go, are to collect leaves, enjoy a nice walk somewhere, try to collect some nicely coloured mums for my altar, and to try and enjoy myself at some point.

*blinks* I should probably try to wake up, too.

Dream.

What Element Are You?

brought to you by Quizilla

Well, I'm sure as hell not an angel, unless we're allowed to bear onyx blood-stained halos now, along with black raven's wings.

Anyway...

I dreamt last night that I was a raven flying above a battle-field, a tall fortress of stone rising in the middle of a grey-blue sky, and flat, fen-like plains spreading all around it. Very stark. In this castle there was...someone. At first I got the impression that this was The Morrigan, but later I felt as if the castle was Hers, and not the person within it. She was alien to me - a deformed, tall, skull, somewhat squared rather than rounded, with ridges of bone on the corners. Her skin was like a komodo dragon's, deep red and green, mottled. Black lips, and glaring yellow-green eyes. She was a sorceress, and had her own people in the fortress.

A force of "invaders" came, attacking the castle with swords and painted shields, all in checks and woad. Also, some of them were very tall, and blond. Like a mix of Celts and Norse. I felt like they were more liberators than invaders. Very very strange. I was swooping on the wing around the battle from place to place; an interesting vantage. Sometimes I would land on the battlements beside the alien woman, and watch her cast spells on the men below, and sometimes I would fly with the charging "invaders" and croak encouragement at them.

When it was over, the castle still stood, and all the dead were there, but no-body won but I; the dead were mine to feast on.

I later had a second dream about walking to Toronto with Jason; we stopped to find someone on a baseball field, and it grew very dark, and suddenly there was a whiteout of flying snow. We hid inside a chinese temple, which was warm and dark and smoky. Jason vanished, and I somehow ended up in the home of some white-trash family yelling at their children. I needed to use the phone, but it didn't work. Then I left, 'cause I had to catch a bus to Lady Caitrin's for Samhain before Jason got too far ahead. O_o

I think this dream was just all about my anxiety about getting up this morning. I didn't end up going anywhere, since my head is like a bonebucket full of snot. Being sick sucks.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
