Brent stopped by today. Was good to see him - haven't for a while. He gave me a "wee dram" of 10 yr. old scotch (yay!) and a lovely silver quaich from Scotland that has triquetas on the handles (double yay!). A quaich, if you've never heard of one, is a cup of varying sizes with a double handle, for welcoming people to your home with a dram of the uische beatha. It is very much an item of hospitality. And it fits perfectly on my Morrigan altar. :)

Bought my baking supplies today, including some nice coloured sugar. Woo! Cookies rule. And Janis, I am NOT mailing you cookies. :p You just have to come back and I'll make you some.

One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
