It's nice to see the leaves turning on Highway 7.

Went to Across the Causeway in Kingston this weekend. Aside from the copious amounts of weed being smoked, very enjoyable (at least in the evening). My allergies suck ass. They suck double ass at concerts. The sun was making me unhappy, and I really REALLY my mother could a) plan for events, and b) give us more information. Taking us to a concert when we're broke, and telling us after we're in and can't leave that you're not planning to feed us just sucks.

The Tragically Hip still rock my world. I'm still in love with the feeling that we've grown up together. I've heard "The Hundredth Meridian" a thousand times...but never like Sunday night. Dan Ackroyd joined in on harmonica for "Locked in the Trunk of a Car". And second encore "Blow at High Dough" could have been nuclear, it was so hot. I called my best friend on my Mom's cell so she could hear it with me. I wish she could have been there. The only thing that could have made it better for me was "Little Bones", but I got 2 hours of The Hip, in Kingston, and it was good.

Was very favorably impressed with a band called the Sadies, as well. Mr. Cleveland would have liked them. We missed the Spades, since we left Smiths Falls late - sorta sucky, since I wanted to hear what they sounded like. The Trews were decent, and Matthew Good did his usual job of rocking and calling people dicks. The only group I wasn't too impressed with was the Hugh Dillon Redemption Band - they need more time together. His voice doesn't match the music. I like the Headstones, so I'm assuming it's just time they need to gel.

The one thing I like about most Canadian bands is that they sound the same live as they do on an album - or better. That's the way it should be.

Did a bit of furniture scavenging this weekend, and stole two dressers from Dad's before we left. The bedroom is better for it now...mind you, it's kinda dumb to get new furniture and fill it before you move, but oh well. We got sent home with pickles and tomatoes from Kilmarnock, and got some faboo cider from the orchard.

I did a whack of cleaning and crap when I got home, and I'm winding down now. Want to play City of Heroes, but Paragon City will have to wait until tommorow morning. I'm hoping I can get to Lv. 20 in a couple weeks so I can get a cape. :p LARP tommorow night, Mabon this weekend, then a LOT of cleaning before Feli and his lady arrive next Thursday. Gotta see if I can get a steam cleaner for that...

Anyway, I'm oot. And aboot. But not a boat...because a boat's Das Boot. Goat!

P.S - if my graphics, etc. go down, it's cool. I have to move my domain and server this week.
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
