Wooo! I'm very excited...we're getting our new hot water tank tommorow. Showers at home again! :D It really is exciting.

I have a relatively calm week ahead of me now, waiting for the basement to dry so I can bleach it out.

Thanks for putting up with my inane flood gnattering. :p

Aww....thank you! WE're doing quite well, comparatively. The news is making too much of a big deal out of it on the networks - it's weird at times, but it's not really all that bad.

I'm glad to hear that things are getting back into order. Frosty and I were worring about your upcomming weekend. What a royal pain THAT would have been. What about the water supply? Is the cities water back to being drinkable? *Hugs* Glad to hear things are looking up!

The water's been drinkable all along...we just didn't have power for a couple days to push it up into the house. You can't swim in the waters here, tho - the water's too high, and the current's really strong on the river. All in all, tho, aside from losing shit this has been pretty mild, as "disasters" go.
One day you’ll walk the world
and keep in mind
The heart you’ve been given
in winter time
And through the bitter cold,
with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
and stand upright
