The house feels very empty now, since all my spirit-sibs are gone. I feel somewhat odd, since I'm used to being alone, and yet now somehow it doesn't feel right. I feel like I've been given such a precious gift - people liked me. :) I keep telling people I'm not that scary....

This weekend, tho, had many beautiful, magickal moments that I never want to forget. I can't do the chronological order of events things very well, so I'll put up what I remember.

It was wild: Friday night we had in the house Jason, Justin, Jeff, Jen, Janis and Jamie. There was a Holly and a Heather...just Erin and Steve left over. ;)

Friday:

  • Meeting Janis and Jamie!! Janis is so awesome. Jamie is SO tired. ;p
  • Meeting the Dragons!! Holly and Jen RULE! Meta isn't meat, tho, and the Merfle is SILLY!
  • MUCH bitching between Janis and I about stuff. Felt very good.
  • Meeting da Foxy! Foxy had been on a train all day, and was tired too. The train was late, as well.
  • The ritual exchange of welcoming gifts, and sharing of shinies!! Many many shinies over the course of a weekend...
  • Red bean paste is sweet...kinda like eating red snot laced with sugar, tho. Wasn't bad. Janis knows lots about Japan. :)
  • Late-night grocery insanity.
  • MUCH sleeping.

    Saturday:

  • HOT HOUSE!! The fridge begins to get warm.
  • Off to the Mall for money and new shorts.
  • Holly's car dies. Bah! Stressed Holly. Transport issues develop.
  • Making Americans spend money on clothing!! Muahahaha!
  • Teaching peeps about the LCBO. Watching a veritable horde of alcohol appear in my house. O_o
  • Animalia!! Cute chameleons and fishies.
  • Decide that the Toronto Zoo is out, because no second car.
  • Eating Kittens! Mrowl! Kittens are just too damn cute. Naryu decides to name the grey pair Beavis and Butthead. Butthead really is a butthead.
  • Some gorgeous cool evenings, and a trip to the Whetung Gallery at Curve Lake. Toooooo many pretties. Surprisingly, barely any money spent.
  • Swimming in Little Lake, listening to music as the sun sets. COLD water, tho, and bugs galore. Water makes us all poop-heads. It is at this point we discover Erin and Jamie are made of bug food. >_<
  • Fireworks over the water!!! Merf!!
  • Late-night pizza coma. STRANGE Dragon-Half anime going in the living room... O_o. Brain melt. (Dick Saucer?)
  • Again, sleep good! Lots of fans going.

    Sunday:

  • The fridge, later dubbed Lazarus, dies.
  • Cool and clouding up a bit outside; a lovely lovely day!
  • Off to the rock show! Driving with Jamie is awesome. Good tunes, appreciates a good co-pilot ;), and you can feel him flying as the car moves. A nice ride up to Bancroft too.
  • ROCKS!! Beautiful rocks....spent much money. Pretty crystal, nice aquamarines...pressies!! Mrr. Hemp ice-snack treat was good, too. Everybody happy. I, being the numbnuts I am, missed the van in the parking lot later, and sat down not 30 feet from it! Rain in Bancroft as we're leaving.
  • Worry-worry about rain for Jen's naming ritual. Was alright - didn't rain in Peterborough.
  • Holly and Jen cooked beef stroganoff for dinner - a fabulous meal on the lawn until the bugs came out. Much sketching and relaxing happening while cooking goes on.
  • Called Kevin and Noelle in Colorado - missed them lots!! Next year ;).
  • Got everyone dressed and cleansed and ready for ritual. Yay!!
  • Janis and I set up ritual, and enjoy the park late at night by Jackson's Creek.
  • Jen's ritual - a few mishaps, all involving Morg and fire, but is all good in the end. The skies cleared overhead as we cast the circle - COOL! Much happiness and tribe forming. :) Very awesome afterglow effect. Strong, steady energies. We will definetely be doing ritual again. Everyone but Morg is covered in insect bites.
  • Home again late.

    Monday:

  • Many tired Otherkin!! Packing, cleaning up, relaxing, and talking.
  • Merfle asks me if milk is supposed to be chunky! O_O Lazarus has been dead a day, and all the milk and cheese stuff is bad. >_<
  • Jamie produces some calamine lotion, and the war painting commences.
  • Jamie and Janis leave. *sniffles* Pictures and group hugs and bites. Still not sure who was biting me... O_o
  • Jamie calls - Janis missed her boarding call. :( Janis later catches a flight on standby - lucky lucky elfy!
  • The rest of the tribe head up to Wimpy's for dinner later, and then get Erin's bus ticket at the station. We rent some movies, subject Holly to the gaping plot crevaces in the Dungeons and Dragons movie, and enjoy the Blues Brothers halfway through.
  • Erin gives AWESOME foot massages! Pain in Morgy's feet melts away.
  • Early to bed, and early to rise - we're getting up at 5 A.M. >_<

    Tuesday:

  • Up at the aforementioned 5 A.M. A wonderful dark morning.
  • The dragon twins and I walk Erin to the Greyhound station: the sun is coming up, it's cool and breezy, and the sliver of a crescent moon rises as well. A beautiful walk.
  • Many hugs and byes to the foxy Erin. :)
  • Back to the house, now nice and frosty cool inside, for more sleep.
  • Up later, fiddling with stuff, waiting for the phone from Crappy Tire. Much talkee. John my favorite repair guy comes and ressurects Lazarus, who is dubbed so by Jamie on ICQ.
  • Car ready! Shuttled out to CT, picked up the car, and a big ass plastic tub.
  • Shopping at food stores - Morgy makes pork ribs for dinner. MMM.
  • Morgy cooks, Merfle and Holly dye my chemise bloody bright red (Spoot!), and Holly laughs her dragon ass off at the car chase in The Blues Brothers.
  • Phone calls are made, they decide to leave Wed. morning, and we relax and talk and are silly with Janis and Jamie online.

    Wednesday:

  • Much packing.
  • Jen merfles about, and Holly marks the hem on Morg's overdress. Morg LOVES her new clothes from Holly. *hugs*
  • Find out Erin got home okies. :) Yay!
  • Jen and Holly pack up the car, and head for Jamie's - stopping in to say hi and bye again on the way home to Michigan.

So yeah...it was an awesome weekend. Lots of laughter and joking, lots of love and happiness, lots of crazy silly things going on. We all miss one another very much - a bond has been formed between us all that will be impossible to break, but easy to feel the lonliness through. Everyone wants to host a gather now. :) And we will gather again; the Tribe will grow, and we be one huge hippy-family for a long long time. :)

Thank you and blessed be, brothers and sisters. :)

One day you’ll walk the world
    and keep in mind
    The heart you’ve been given
    in winter time
    And through the bitter cold,
    with opened eyes
You’ll find the strength to fight
