1) How did Raven first make itself known to you?

As a child I always loved to take my grandfather's crow call out into his woods and call to them. Later I figured that I didn't really know how to use the call, and all I was doing was scaring the cat; I then started to imitate them on my own. I've always felt very connected to the crows, even though I didn't really understand why - no-one else I knew liked them. I guess I felt the were something I could have to myself. I doubt this is connected in any way to my current corvid state, but it is something I remember over many other things from my childhood.

When I was first learning to dreamwalk (I'd have been around 14), I didn't know really what I was doing. I mean I REALLY didn't know. I'd somehow ended up in a few people's dreams, folks I knew, and both of us remembered the same things. That was enough to start me on a path towards learning more about this, sort of exploring shamanic ideas and journeys.

When I formally decided to take a journey, I ended up getting lost in the Underworld. I was stupid about it. I didn't ask Horse or Bear to protect and guide me. I didn't have anyone watch over me. It could have gone horribly horribly wrong.

Two ravens followed me. I have since become very familiar with these two birds...spirit guides, although I didn't know it at the time. I couldn't find my way out. It was dangerous, scary, and frustrating all at the same time. Two ravens flew away. Three ravens came back. One of them looked like there were stars under its' feathers...which enthralled me right up until the point it became monstrous, huge.

Raven devoured me whole. Raven gave me wings on my rebirth at that point, and then I flew up to the hole in the darkness, and out of the Underworlds.

That was my first introduction to Raven.

2) what do you think of most "internet Pagans" that are out there?

It's the same as any other group - you're always gonna have people in there that really only live that chosen identity through their computer. Some of them only know what the screen tells them - they'd never explore the spirit realms, look at their shadow-self, or maybe not even the local park. I don't think about them much, thought - I don't tend to get involved with people like that. They "read" funny to me, and we usually don't get along well. I think you can't really be Pagan if you're only doing it online - it's so easy to simply appreciate the Divine/Spirit/Universe and the natural world without looking much farther than your yard. Click off the screen. Go outside.

3) why Canada?

I was born here. I'll hopefully die here. This is the land of my ancestors, as much as any other, and this is where I belong. If you were born here, you'd probably understand better. No other land holds my heart like this one.

4) what is the signifigance of your favorite color(s)?

Well, I have two - blue and green. I really like colour entirely - certain combinations of colours really set me off, but blue and green are my favorites.

Green is so natural. It's all around us. It happens in so many wonderful combinations and it conjures up images of leaves and trees and nature spirits for me. My eyes also happen to be green, so I'm pretty comfortable wearing it, too. It's natural to me. I feel like I was born to it.

Blue is more...moody. It's emotional. It can be electric, like the final twilight blue intensity of the sunset, or it can be deep, like the St. Lawrence River in November, or it can be pale, like the shadows on snow in winter. It holds symbolism to me of magic, of energy, of someone who knows what they really are. Blue is a colour I like to surround myself with, rather than wear, because it is too tempestuous for me. It doesn't lie well on my skin - I wield blue, rather than being comfortable with it.

5) do you fear death?

No. Death and I are old friends now; our paths have intertwined at places, and we have danced with each other too often for me to fear it. No...Death and I have an understanding now. When the time comes, chosen or not, I will welcome it, and I will cross over the Veil in peace.

*hums Blame Canada and looks sheepish* Erm...please tell me, what exactly is dream walking? I know, I'm stupid, but I've heard others talk about it and I 'think' I know what it is, but I really want an expert to tell me what it really is instead of my own half-guessed ideas.

Bear and Horse are two of your totems, eh? That's funny cos they are two of my three totems also (the third being Spider, whos' pissed at me right now).

Sure, I'm game for being interviewed. The answers won't be every interresting tho, I'm afraid.

And a park? What's that? :P

I've always wondered how folks 'read' others on-line. Can you tell if someone is otherkin or not?
